Solution Overview
Network monitoring is a critical process in which all networking components like routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers are monitored for their performance and faults.
There are a lot of network monitoring tools out there. Selecting one has become overly complex with features ranging from ping monitoring and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) monitoring to interface level NetFlow monitoring supporting various protocols.
Networks are more dynamic than other IT assets. Given their impact on operations, it’s crucial to monitor performance and track changes. Network operations center (NOC) teams require timely notification of anything that impacts the network, including issues that could hamper the experience of users and employees. In addition, using machine learning to predict such impacts could prove valuable in proactively identifying usage trends.
Demo Overview
In the demo, we will walk you through how we deployed Zabbix to monitor our lab environment. The video also covers some of the customizations we developed to improve the overall scale and capabilities of the Zabbix rollout. Zabbix can also serve as the centralized console for NOC users.
